Hi Ladies! Sorry I've been out of touch for a bit. I am still trying to climb that wicked wall out of my funk. I think this past week of warmer weather and sunshine did it - or at least got it started. I've been down for the count for two days with lower back pain, and last night I slept about 1 hour! I called in today and went back to bed. I woke up at 11am! I guess my body was trying to tell me something.
Anyway, I bought an eliptical from a co-worker and it was delivered on Thursday. I am about to use it for the first time - as long as my back holds up through it. I have also started working out a plan B for getting out of my toxic work environment. It's scares the living daylight out of me to be thinking of career change at 41 with two kids a year and two away from college. ugh.
Anyway, I am vowing to find at least one thing to be grateful for each day to help me continue moving in the right direction. Today, it's you two! :)
Grateful to be alive. Okay so first attempt on the elliptical - I lasted 3 minutes. I read up a bit and got back on and lasted 5 minutes. Crud! I am not going to change, I'm going to stay in my workout clothes and hope I get the motivation to try again tonight. Maybe I'll make it for 10 minutes? :(
ReplyDeletehaha oh Christine you can do it! It's been awhile since you were active so of course your going to have a tough time in the beginning. Trust me it stinks starting from the bottom. I should know haha. Be careful about your back make sure you stretch it and put ice on it.
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best of luck in looking for another job. Don't be scared. You just research and look for a job you will enjoy. When you describe your working environment as toxic you definitely need to get out of there. haha Just know I am cheering you on!
We love you Christine!
Christine!! I am so glad to hear from you and thank you for that touching compliment to Sammy and I.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that matters it that you got on the elliptical and did it!! You will build endurance back up. You should be very excited for a career change. Like you said your kids are almost in college and your job schedual was great with having summers and breaks with them but now find something that makes you happy.
I am rooting for you!!
